From idea to program

In the beginning

When we began to develop the TechEditor BauText in 1994, we entered new territories. At that time there were no special Windows text programs for engineers which could carry out calculations.

Difficult problems in the theory of structures could be solved with a PC, but many small proofs, load determinations and remarks about the structural analyses were written by hand. Because we didn't find any suitable software for this demand, we decided to develop a new program. This program was presented in 1995 under the name BauText. It was 100% developed by German engineers. Only by having the know how in both engineering and IT were we able to develop this unique software.


Milestones

In 2006 we have realized one of the most important landmarks in the history of the development of our software. In t2W (transpose to worksheet) we have developed a completely new way to exchange data. This technology allows each program to output results into the document. The result is a consistent and continuous document with uniform page headers and footers, page numbers, table of contents, PDF export and much more.
Today we deliver the 12th generation BauText. The number of users has steadily increased during the last years. Today more than 5,000 engineers use the program. The result of great demand in Germany, Europe and worldwide.

The 2009 version is presented in a new and modern layout. Graphic formulae and updated templates underscore the quality of our software. Structural analyses which are created using BauText 2009 simply look better; working with the program is enjoyable.

Competence from practical experience

Naturally we have used BauText in our engineer's office from the beginning. Now we can't see any alternatives for drawing up technical documents. We save more than 30% processing time by using BauText.
